First Week and Accomplishments at the Clinic

After my first week at the Pain and Headache Centers of Texas, I have learned so much with how a clinic operates behind the scenes. My work consisted of basic tasks from confirming appointment times to scheduling new patients. Everyone in the office has been super helpful and kindhearted! It makes me optimistic to work in the medical field and proud to work under such wonderful people. Karla, the office manager has been assigning me many tasks and plans to allow me to sit in on EKGs and neurological tests. However, due to my limited hours of availability and the unreliability of patients, it has been difficult to start shadowing these tests properly. I hope in the future of this internship I will be able to complete most of the basic tests and am able to aid the office through any way possible.
