Beginnings/Goal setting for the 2022 Summer

Today I went in to discuss what tasks and goals I have in mind before I begin working at the Pain and Headache Clinic in the summer as an unpaid intern. Essentially, my goals were simplified to a desire for more experience in the medical fields. Karla, the office manager, explained that some responsibilities I may encounter include filing medical records, helping with the patient care portal, and aiding in any procedures. So far, I have learned that a lot of other aspiring physicians will probably be working in this office, so I should take advantage of these connections that I will find through the clinic. I will work about 2 hours from Monday through Friday for two months in the summer. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from this internship and discover what aspects of the medical field that intrigue me the most!
